About Caribbean Community Hockey

Our Mission

To foster the development and inclusivity of ice hockey within Caribbean communities by providing access, education, and opportunity—empowering youth and athletes of all backgrounds to engage in the sport, celebrate cultural diversity, and build a strong foundation for future generations of Caribbean hockey players.

Why It's Important to Grow the Game

Expanding ice hockey into Caribbean communities is not only about introducing a new sport—it’s about breaking down barriers, challenging stereotypes, and creating opportunities where few have existed. By growing the game, we promote diversity, open pathways to athletic and academic scholarships, and foster a sense of community, discipline, and teamwork among youth. The unique cultural identity of the Caribbean can bring fresh energy and talent to the global hockey stage, making the sport richer, more inclusive, and truly representative of the world.

Our Why

To inspire and empower Caribbean youth (ages 6–18) through ice hockey by providing inclusive access to training, mentorship, and competition—fostering personal growth, community pride, and a lifelong love for the game.

Why Growing the Game for Youth Matters

Introducing ice hockey to young people in Caribbean communities builds more than just athletes—it builds confidence, resilience, teamwork, and leadership skills. For youth, access to a non-traditional sport like hockey opens doors to new experiences, friendships, and even academic or professional opportunities that may not have existed before. By planting the seeds early, we create a new generation of Caribbean players who can thrive on the ice and in life, while expanding the sport’s reach and cultural richness.
